Are You Ready To March?

Good Monday morning people, how was your weekend? So good to have you here on our Monday e-Boost date. I almost can’t believe February is waving goodbye already; feels like it was just yesterday that we rend the air with our shouts of “Happy New Year!”… And now we’re getting ready to March! Are you ready?

Tomorrow is the 1st of March, the third month of the year, the last month in the first quarter of 2016! If there’s anything I have learnt in my few years on earth, it is that time waits for no one. It keeps ticking away, whether you are conscious of it or otherwise. For most people, each new year means a fresh list of new year resolves, goals and plans. Beautiful decisions and plans put down on paper or noted in their head or heart. The bad news is, it is not enough to just make plans and decide to keep them. Plans, dreams, resolves and great ideas mean nothing if they are not backed up with matching action. Today is the last day of February and some are yet to start implementing any of their plans for the year. If you fall into this category please, what are you waiting for? Tomorrow is 1st March 2016, are you ready to March?
March as a word is an action word. it is synonymous with onward forward movement, irrespective of the pace. You can mark time in preparation but once you hear the command March, it means move forward, stop marking time!
March, as a very strategic. It is the third month and 3 is a significant number starting from the scriptures. I won’t go into details of all that number 3 represents but i will  give an illustration I think all of us can relate with. In the academic setting, when a child gets to Nursery 3, JSS 3 or SS3, he or she is expected to be ready to move on to the next phase of academic learning. Nursery 3 precedes Primary education 1, JSS 3 requires Junior WAEC for one to move over to Senior secondary school and SS 3 requires Senior WAEC and other necessary exams before the student can move over to any higher institution. Three (3), is a number set to test all you have been preparing for. It is a time for you to showcase all you have been rehearsing behind the scenes.
The months of January and February were for us to wake up into the new year, make plans and get set for the goals ahead. The month of March is for us to start implementation, (if you haven’t started on any goals yet). The good news is you don’t have to have it all figured out before you can take the first step forward. And well, if you are just waking up, welcome on-board still. A Chinese proverb (I think) says, “the best time to have planted a tree is 20 years ago, the next best time is NOW.”
Finally, you can not March without having a predefined direction of where you want to go, so the first step to March, is to write your goals|plans if you haven’t done so yet. Habakuk 2:2 says “And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it”
It’s the 1st of March tomorrow and is ready to March! The ‘CEO Memoirs’ column as promised in the last blog news here will debut on Wednesday, 2 March 2016. The column is dedicated to career and business success. They say experience is the best teacher but I think learning from other people’s experience is wisdom. My core goal is to see us all exhibit excellence on all fronts including in our finances, which is primarily powered by our careers and businesses. Please don’t miss out on the CEO Memoirs; we will have distinguished CEOs from various fields share their experiences, mistakes and success secrets with us in that column. Looking forward to seeing you here again on Wednesday.
Till then, wishing y’all a Fruitful new week and an onward forward movement in March. Loads of love from me to you.
